Learn More About Katie
Growing up in Los Angeles as the youngest of four, food was always at the center of our home. No matter how busy life got, we always sat down together around the kitchen table for dinner. Some of my favorite memories come from those daily meals filled with conversation, laughter, and connection. My dad traveled often for work and would come home inspired by the countries and cuisines he experienced along the way. Through him, I was introduced to new flavors, ingredients, and traditions from around the world at an early age — something that still deeply influences the way I cook today.
Food has always been more than just a profession for me — it’s how I care for people, create connection, and bring comfort into everyday life. Over the last decade, I’ve built my career working closely with private families, wellness-focused households, and high-profile clients throughout Los Angeles, creating personalized culinary experiences that feel thoughtful, nourishing, and deeply personal.
My approach to cooking is rooted in hospitality first. Whether I’m preparing a simple weeknight dinner, supporting a family through postpartum recovery, creating healing meals during a health transition, or hosting an intimate gathering, my goal is always the same: to make people feel cared for through food.
I specialize in globally inspired, seasonal cooking that balances flavor, nutrition, and comfort. I love creating meals that feel elevated yet approachable — vibrant, satisfying food tailored to the people sitting at the table. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide range of dietary lifestyles and wellness needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, plant-based, autoimmune protocol (AIP), anti-inflammatory, postpartum nutrition, and allergy-conscious cooking. My background in Nutrition Studies through Cornell University has further shaped the way I think about food as both nourishment and experience.
What makes my work unique is the combination of culinary expertise and the ability to seamlessly support the rhythm of a household behind the scenes. In long-term private service roles, I’ve managed multiple residences, coordinated vendors and travel logistics, overseen inventories and events, and helped maintain calm, organized environments for busy families and professionals. I understand the importance of discretion, adaptability, and anticipating needs before they arise — especially within dynamic, fast-paced homes.
Before transitioning fully into private culinary work, I spent several years in hospitality public relations, representing chefs, restaurants, and food-focused brands throughout Los Angeles. That experience gave me a strong foundation in communication, presentation, and understanding the emotional connection people have with food and hospitality. It also deepened my appreciation for storytelling, aesthetics, and creating memorable experiences that extend beyond the plate itself.
Clients often describe my presence as calming, warm, intuitive, and dependable — which honestly means just as much to me as compliments about the food itself. Some of my favorite moments in this work are the simple ones: hearing that a meal made someone feel better after a difficult week, watching children become excited about healthy food, or helping a family feel a little more at ease during a busy season of life.
At the end of the day, I believe food should feel good in every sense of the word. It should nourish people, bring comfort, spark connection, and create moments that people carry with them long after the table is cleared.
